Swing Catalyst‘s Motion Capture is a markerless system that leverages advanced AI algorithms to analyze your golf swing without the need for physical markers or sensors. Key features include:

  • Skeleton overlay with joint markers
  • Center of Mass (COM) visualization

2. System Requirements

To utilize the MoCap feature, ensure the following:

  • Software Version: Swing Catalyst version 25.1 or newer.
  • Subscription: Active Swing Catalyst Pro or Pro+ subscription.
  • Hardware:
    • Operating System: Windows 10 or 11.
    • Processor: Intel i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 (or better).
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM or more.
    • Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 3060 or newer with a minimum of 6GB VRAM.
  • Cameras: One or more supported cameras positioned appropriately (e.g., face-on right, face-on left, down-the-line).

4. Configuring MoCap Settings

Proper configuration ensures optimal performance:

  1. Access Settings:
    • Open Swing Catalyst and navigate to Settings >Video & Capture.
  2. Execution Provider:
    • NVIDIA Users: Set toTensorRT. If issues arise, switch toCUDA.
    • Other GPUs: Use DirectML.
  3. Batch Size:
    • For GPUs with 8GB VRAM, a batch size between 12 to 24 is recommended.
  4. Advanced Settings:
    • Detection Model: Nano for improved performance; switch to Medium if detection issues occur.
    • FP16: Enabling can boost performance but may reduce accuracy.
