Certification FAQ
Who can take the Swing Catalyst Certification?
Anyone who is interested in improving their golf performance or coaching techniques is welcome to take the Swing Catalyst Certification.
Is the Catalyst Certification free?
The Introduction modules are free of charge. Advanced modules will be priced individually when they become available.
Do I have to complete all the modules to become certified?
You can do the certification modules in stages depending on what suits your needs. Anyone who is interested in video analysis and learning about biomechanics can take the free introduction courses.
For Swing Catalyst accreditation, you should complete the advanced/paid modules, which allows you to use and teach with Swing Catalyst and display your accreditation on your website, social channels and other marketing materials. You will receive badges and certifications when you complete each course.
Will my current Level 1 and 2 Certification still be valid?
We are launching an all-new Swing Catalyst Certification Program in 2025. Until then, our current certification courses are still valid. If you enroll now, you’ll have full access to these courses until they expire with the launch of the new program. After that, all certifications will transition to the new curriculum, and you’ll need to complete the new modules to stay certified.
Do I need to pay again to become certified?
This is an all-new Swing Catalyst Certification Program so you will need to pay if you wish to retain your Swing Catalyst accreditation.
Why should I take the new certification courses when I am already certified?
Your current Swing Catalyst certification will expire with the launch of the new modules. We will contact you with more information about this. We have completely revamped and modernized our modules making it more relevant to the needs of today’s coaches and golfers. As golf mechanics and swing technology continue to advance we want to ensure we equip you with the latest teaching methods and knowledge when using data-driven video analysis and sensor plates is at its highest level.
What topics will the all-new certification cover?
The introduction modules, launched in February 2025, cover video analysis and biomechanics. This is for anyone who is interested to learn more about these topics whether you golf at your leisure or are a professional coach.
We are continuously developing our courses but the planned modules for 2025 will cover topics such as pressure, and single and dual force analysis. More information will be available soon.
I’m not a coach. Can I still do the certification?
If you have a passion and interest in playing golf, you are welcome to complete some or all of the modules in the Swing Catalyst certification program. We will shortly be launching a new Home subscription, which will give you more advanced access to Swing Catalyst and we especially recommend the Introduction modules if you have a home software with one or more cameras.
When can I take the new certifications?
We didn’t want you to have to wait until all the modules are ready before you begin to strengthen your education so we are launching them individually, when they are ready. Here is when you can expect the new modules:
